The Editor and the host met at the Coffee Cup and spoke to Muriel Edison about her run for president and how she will continue with Crime and Nuclear Insurance.
On the usual visit to the Coffee Cup, the Editor and the Host had planned to speak to the presidential candidate, Muriel Edison, who as a woman had accepted the challenge despite the public’s perception of a president. Specifically, they wanted to know how she planned to overcome the feminine presidential prejudice that exists in this country.
Muriel, the Editor and the Host discussed that political strategy.
“Good morning,” said Margarita, the waitress at the Coffee Cup. “That is Muriel Edison sitting over there at that table.”
Oh great, the Editor said. I will just slip over and have a talk with her.
The Editor and the Host walked over to Muriel’s table to have their morning coffee, and she had a magazine open with the headline “Can a woman become president?”
“I can answer that question,” Edison said. “No.”
“Sad but true. Women will vote for men they want to date, and men will vote to want for a fishing buddy,” said Margarita.
Whoa, said the Host. Do you believe that people really act on images of preferences rather than real issues?
“Were you born yesterday?” Edison asked. “When was the last woman voted president of the United States?”
Now you know the answer to that question of images the Editor said. Think about the presidential candidate that rode on a tank. What did that have to do with becoming president? Think about the times the candidates wrapped themselves around the flag, and never spoke about any real issue.
“Now you have hit my point,” Edison said. “Only when women can draw a huge margin of victory can they even consider running for president. Think of the last two presidential elections and how the public vote gave only a small percentage difference from one candidate to another.”
So if a woman planned to run for president, she must go beyond the general comments and give specifics about the issues. They need to state specifically about how they will solve the nation’s problems in a concrete fashion that the public can grasp.
“I will tell them read my lips,” Edison said. “I will cut taxes and spur job development.”
Won’t work, the Editor said. That has already been said by previous candidates and those were men. I have a better focus for you to take. Lawmakers provide taxes for crime and nuclear insurance but call it TAXES.
“Great,” Edison said. “What a fantastic line to give to the voters. ‘If elected I will institute the current crime and nuclear insurance to prevent the terrorist and murders from taking over our nation under God.’ ” Edison said.
That’s it. Follow in the way of all governmental comments just change the name of taxes to insurance and the public will bite like a fish eating a worm. They will swallow it hook, line and sinker. They will all be walking around like they have just taken some antidepressant drug. Imagine them walking around with the glowing smile when they see $11,000 worth of income taxes deducted and they will be delighted because they no longer pay taxes but an insurance premium.
On that paycheck stub, they will now see an entry that says payroll deduction Federal Insurance instead of Federal taxes.
“Exactly,” Edison said. “We will hit a home run with this theme and this will definitely get me elected. ‘I will say your federal taxes will be eliminated and replaced with a Federal Insurance policy against the terrorist and those wanting to nuke the United States.’ “
“Wow,” said Margarita the waitress. “You mean that my federal taxes will be eliminated, and now I will only pay a nuke and crime insurance. Lady I will vote for you even if you aren’t a man I would like to date.”
You have hit on two things in your favor. One refer to taxes as insurance and two you have changed the name which all government propaganda press releases have found to be very effective. But the third element that underlies all this refers to insurance, which appeals to the basic element of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. In that you have appealed to the basic element survival.
Now you need to take this one step further. And if elected, I will lower your nuke and crime insurance. That step should include colluding with the major insurance company of the nation. That way you will get a big campaign contribution and promotions from big business that will help you get elected. Collusion is something all big business leaders understand, the Editor said.
